Online gift lists are excellent. We chose to have our gift list at John Lewis. It was brilliant going round the shop
choosing the items we loved and wanted to add to our home. If people wish to buy from the list it is easy to do online, in the shop and on the phone. Your guests can rest assured that the present they buy you is fairly priced because John Lewis will never be knowingly undersold. I have to admit that I loved the fact that my friends and family were able to buy something in the knowledge that it was good value for money and the gift is something that we both will treasure for years to come.
I know that many people may not necessarily live near a John Lewis, but other great places for the wedding list are Debenhams, House of Fraser, Cath Kidston and Oliver Bonas.
Since our wedding, a friend has told me that Amazon.co.uk is another good option and apparently the prices are very fair.
Top Tips For Wedding Gift Lists:
1. Think about what you want on your list. We wanted to make sure that everything we had would last for a long time,
so did not go for too many things which could break or will go out of fashion.
2. Think about how many items you should have on there, we were very lucky to have people who were not at our wedding buying off our list, so make sure you don’t have too much or too little.
3. Shop around for the best selection – we found John Lewis had everything we wanted in one place, so it was one less thing for us to manage. They also provide you with a breakdown of your list so you can see how many items you have on your list and in what price brackets. Brilliant!
